Aslaugh'h'ha's head is tiny, compared to the rest of her body: tiny, and ironically elegant, with great faceted eyes and sharp sucking mouthparts. The rest of her body is monstrous and exaggeratedly female. She is grossly swollen, turgid, immense. Huge, pendulous breasts hang over an equally huge belly. Thin jointed plates of chitin stretch to cover her, and fail; in the wide gaps between them, her pale blood-engorged membranous skin is visible. She constantly gives birth to a drool of viscous slime in which are suspended hundreds of miniscule eggs, which hatch minute-by-minute into tiny, subsentient mosquitoes, ticks, leeches, lice, bedbugs, and horseflies. Her long, jointed legs are clearly too slim to support her massive body, and gesture eloquently but uselessly as she lies on her back. Her chitinous exoskeleton is black; the skin beneath is a sickly cream color, flushed with blood.
She calls herself a Chitin Queen, though the other Queens often do not acknowledge her as such. Aslaugh'h'ha refers to herself as the Leech Queen of Strange, though in truth she is more tick than leech. (She is also, therefore, more arachnid than true insect.)
In Aslaugh'h'ha's language, the word for 'blood' and the word for 'secrets' is the same. Through her mindless dronechildren, her sapient Daughters, and her motley of agents, she collects both, gorges on both, makes herself fat on both.
She has much information. She shares some of it – in return for favors, or on a whim, or because she wishes to stir up trouble to amuse herself. Some of it is true (or at least true from certain points of view); much of it is false.
Aslaugh'h'ha's hive is called Slaug'h'hoe'ul?, and lies within Strangewarp, where the flooded Canal District borders on the Strangeshore of the ocean.
