The player is better known elsewhere throughout TEH INTARWEB as "Viqsi". Try that username most anywhere and you're likely to find me (LiveJournal, AIM, et cetera).
I've been asked that question enough times (at least three now), so...
I've got a lot of friends that I know through other channels who have characters here. One of them (Roque's player, if you must know) eventually got me to look at the website and Wiki. The whole concept quite thoroughly fucked with my head.
So of course, I wanted revenge. :)
g0 didn't take all that long to put together; I just basically took myself, threw in a dash of Online Furry Persona, dialed up the mysticism to absurdly high levels and called her an upload (which is the one posthuman concept I was previously familiar with). I showed the idea to a bunch of those friends to make sure I wasn't stepping on any toes, then sent her in. Somehow, it worked, and thusly did I slip past the vicious guardian tekrat. (She's developed a bit since then.)
Within a week, GrayZero had had [her first conversation with Mel] - and after this, I received confirmation that I had, indeed, succeeded in my vengeance (via IRC /msg). The task completed, I considered backing out, only to discover I was hooked.
