Delta the extreme sports mechsuited cat

At first glance, Delta appears to be some kind of huge quadruped big cat,
standing around five feet or so at the shoulder, his general build solid
yet possessing feline grace. He is clad in a suit of black rubber that
covers his lower neck shoulders, back, haunches and even the upper part of
his tail with a close fitting skin that conforms to the contours of his
powerful frame. The parts of his form which remain exposed are covered in
sleek tawny fur, fading to an almost pristine white along his underside.

Interlocking plates of a lightweight white polymer run down his back, from the
nape of his neck, over his shoulders where they are more bulky, narrowing
as they reach his lower back and hips before finally ending partway down
his tail. His shoulders and haunches also sport armour, glossy white plates
molded to fit the contours of the muscles beneath.

The armor is not as tightly packed as that which runs along his back,
providing light protection for the front of his chest, and either side of
his shoulders and haunches yet stopping short of plating round behind, not
restricting his movement greatly. This has the effect of leaving more
expansive areas of the glossy black rubber exposed on the shoulder, flanks
and haunches.

He wears heavy, mechanical style boots on all paws, shiny white on top of
black rubber to match the rest of his attire. The tips of burnished steel
claws poke slightly forth from the armoured toes, hinting at the curved
lengths contained within.

A slender mechanical arm is folder neatly in three segments against the bulky
region of armour over each of his shoulders. This area of armor seems
almost like a curved backpack, flaring slightly on either side in two
circular intakes like the openings of jet engines, hinting at the
possibility of further systems concealed within.

His forehead is covered with a contoured helmet, fronted by an orange-tinted
transparent visor from behind which gaze his calm but somehow predatory
eyes. The helmet is leashed to his neck plates by a ribbon of cables that
hugs close to his neck, and from time to time, a brief flicker of green
light plays over them, travelling from the circuitry of the helm to the
base of his neck.

Cinfo Dump

Background: Born in a tank, Delta was created as a novelty, a showpiece for both gladiatorial arena and athletic competition. He was made with predatory instinct in mind, more intelligent than a simple beast, but still with a focus on his feral side, After all, when you design something for physical performance, it's hardly worth bothering to give it the ability to appreciate modern art, is it? For protection, he was clad in an armoured suit, its functions controlled via a neural helmet. It gave him the ability to speak in basic words, and mechanical arms to manipulate things around him. While never truly a match for his virtual and mechanical adversaries, his animal drive to win. and predatory nature made him an interesting competitor nonetheless.

Character: "neo-tribal techno-gladiator" - Delta is an athlete, a high-tech gladiator, instinctive, bestial, thrillseeking and predatory. He's a creature that lives life for the rush, the experience of the physical rather than the cerebral. In a world where death isn't final, why not push things a little? Why not fight a little harder, fly a little faster, experience the world for all it's worth in the physical sense? He is a proud creature, yet not arrogant, gruff in his outlook and lacking many social graces, but possessing a certain simplistic animal charm . A philistine amongst connoisseurs, he has little ability in the way of artistic expression, or the finer points of ettiquette and social climbing. After all, he's really not that bright :)

Faction: Probably closest to the zips due to his speed obsession, but currently unaligned.

Preference: Up for pretty much anything in the way of roleplaying. Unusual, bizarre and challenging, whatever works, right down to mundane. The character is obviously limited in ability to reason at higher levels but I figure this can just add to the fun. Sexual situations are fine, but definitely don't need to be a focus and it'd be preferred if that was more private where this character is concerned.

TechLevel: On closer examination Delta's suit appears to be fairly advanced, yet in some places emulating retro technology ( jet turbine engines etc ). Other than the suit however, he appears to possess no technology of his own.
