The three look like bipedal newts, with slick glabrous skin glowing faintly green-white. They are only a meter tall each, with huge egglike heads; naked of clothes, their smooth nude bodies are painted with shifting digital artwork. All three wear thin silver manacles on wrists or ankles, with thin silver chains binding them together.
All three have flat, humanlike faces. Jeweltongue and Sharpears have huge jet eyes; Eyebright has no eyes, only smooth unbroken skin. Eyebright and Sharpears have wide, soft-lipped mouths; Jeweltongue has no mouth, only smooth unbroken skin. Eyebright and Jeweltongue have delicately webbed batlike ears; Sharpears has no ears, only smooth unbroken skin.
Eyebright, Jeweltongue and Sharpears are siblings, lovers, and slaves to one another. They are intensely sensual beings, despite the lack of genetalia.
They tell people that they were once one being, but were split. During the split, one set of senses was (lost/stolen/repudiated/destroyed) from each of them.
They speak simultaneously in two-part harmony. (Jeweltongue cannot speak.)
They do not explain or even acknowledge the presence of the manacles.
