KARRIE

Physical Description:

Karrie, biologically at least, has been reduced to nothing but a head. Karrie doesn't mind, though, that's the way things ought to be. Karrie's a very beautiful head, though. Healthy machine-groomed tan fur, expressive features, perfect white teeth, even coloration, and crystal clear yellow eyes. Karrie doesn't appear to have a discernable gender, so if you must use a pronoun, 'xer' is recommended. "It" is RIGHT out. The bottom of Karrie's head, where the neck should be, is smooth-furred like the rest, like there was no neck there at all.

Karrie's Vehicle:

Xer head is being cradled in a pocket of red velvet atop a robot body, gleaming with pistons. Karrie doesn't seem to quite be in control of the body, but it responds to xer every subtle whim nonetheless. A plexiglass visor is poised to snap down and protect xer head against anyone wanting to steal it.

Background:

Karrie was decanted and grown in Otissa and has lived there for 40 years. At age 20 xe took the initiative and had xer body removed. Xer life has been rather uneventful.

A recent trip into the Museum has offset Karrie's and Otissa's synchronisation, which means xe's not always being satisfied. The same trip seems to have caused some sort of psychological disturbance in xer.

Karrie and the Neo-Boreals

After imagining that an Otissian glitch was a prophecy of Puzzlebox's destruction and by xerself having lapses of what xe thought were precongitive episodes caused by xer ventures into the Museum, Karrie began to feel like xe was losing touch with reality. Xe placed the blame squarely on xer unconcious desires and base sentiments, and sought the council of the Neo-Boreals, who eventually gave xer an audience.

More on this plot: Karrie and the Neo-Boreals.

Into and Beyond Sanity

Karrie has been fighting ever since to regain the lost respect of xer peers and return to the status quo. While seeking Mel in order to settle the score with the Museum that led xer astray, xe has found that its subjective projection abilities enable xer to "hands-on" psychoanalyze people with problems. Xe discovered this after a run-in with Leviathan-Chan, and has changed her attitudes toward the Museum's powers.

With xer first lessons in personae crafting approaching in a mere ten years, xe has begun to actively seek out individuals with need of therapy, an activity which can't fail to get xer back in the good graces of xer Otissian comerades.
