Krin Amethos

((OOC: This character has not been approved or logged in yet. Anything here may change on a whim as I decide to finalize or alter things before committing to the character -- Furthermore, this is going to be altered a bit in form once I get going))

The Mana's Conflux

"Upon the final day of a child's first cycle of existence they must meet three
criteria to be considered gifted. Speech, magical awareness, and some form of
control over the mana in their blood. Of course, only those born to one of the
five families have this gift anymore. Everyone else is born to serve us, because
we are the alphas. They can bow, or they can die."

Krin stands just over six feet tall with a seemingly average human form. The only things that really stand out about him that are unusual feline features that adorn his body. He is slender, almost underfed, and has almost milky white skin with an absolute absence of body hair. Groomed to perfection, he always practices perfect posture and carries himself well -- at least physically. He has a long purple tail with thick fur coating it. The tail reaches down to just an inch or two short of the floor and matches his long shiny metallic purple hair, which he keeps in a ponytail. Atop his head is a pair of purple feline ears with pink furry insides. He has no human ears, which makes him look slightly odd.

His face is slender, and always seems to have a calculating look to it. His eyes are the deepest green, human rounded pupils adorning the inside, black as night. Below his eyes, over his cheeks are a pair of deep purple feline stripes that taper off before reaching his nose. They look like they're painted to his face, rather than actually being naturally present, since he has skin and not fur. His torso is slim but not toned or muscles, and his limbs are narrow and slender. Aside from the stripes, ears, and tail, his body is entirely human, and he is entirely organic without as much as a piercing in him.

Krin wears a pair of black latex pants and black boots. Though latex, the pants are not tight, but are comfortable all the way up his legs, suddenly getting tight around his ass and crotch. His body is covered in a white cotton long sleeved dress shirt that plays tricks with the eyes. From the right angle, one would THINK they MIGHT possible could see through it, and they can, but it's not apparent enough for most to notice. The darkness of his nipples and form is very light. His body is covered by a long purple cloak, which he keeps loose behind him. The cloak is ripped in a few places, and even bears a burn mark on the bottom, obviously threadbare and unkempt.

Around Krin's neck is a long ostentatious gold chain, from which hangs a medallion about three inches in diameter. The medallion is pure gold, polished to a mirror-like shine; in the middle of the disc is a long serpentine dragon, carved out of pure amethyst, coiled around a sword with the words "Amethos - Peace from fear" etched around the outer inch.

The Tome of Years

"I can't shake the foreboding feeling in my chest, that my cousins are mingling,
that they are plotting, but I won't stop. I cannot afford to back down now; now
that I am so close to power and glory... I will take power, I will be mighty, I
will be invincible, I will be GOD!"

Krin Amethos was born into the Amethos family at the height of their rule over Aven, a small coven of a city wedged between Top and Down. Born into a Xenophobic, paraiahtic society where the Mess' systems of backup and instantation were shunned, the people relied on magic, and Krin was one of the best in that field. Krin was born with impressive magical power, more so than anyone else in his family. Between his inborn power, and the teachings of some of the best Naturals (Born mages) around, Krin quickly became the favorite to succeed the then dying head of his mob-like family. At twenty, the head of the Amethos family was on his deathbed, and officially named Krin as his successor. The family would not hear it, and banded together with the other powerful families to try to overthrow him before he came into power.

Even with his magic, ten people pouncing him at once quickly left him incapacitated on the floor. He was quickly shown the business end of one of the energy transfer devices that he enslaved some poor father to build. His power drained away in a flash, and he was knocked out, only to awake somewhere in the middle of the Nexus, in a brand new society. For decades, he had the power to shape his destiny, while everyone cowered at his feet. Now everyone around him was performing acts of "magic", and he was devoid of his power.
