Meliaam stares. "She is... still in you. Natti, you... The plague took you. I never thought..."

"Yes, Liaam-loved. One plague took me. The same one that took thee. The one we helped begin." Inhatti licks her lips with a mobile tongue, swirling round the sleek muzzle. "O, thou thought another plague? Body decayed and failing I welcomed the dive into the growing silver Strange sea."

Meliaam turns her face away. "I... I remember." Her hands clench. "I followed you."

The gracious canal promenade of Old-Topwarp:

gazing down into the dark water, a curious glow and sheen to it now, rippling hypnotic

falling, face first and arms outstretched, toward the roiling surface

it reaches out to take me

Meliaam. Red forked tongue flickers over her feral grin. A sneering gaze, with eyes too icy-bright to be sane. On her face, the spots and tear-like streaks of a cheetah are exaggerated into a tragic mask: weeping grotesque-clown. From the neck down, her chalk-white fur is in tatters, as though it's a skintight suit, ruined and full of holes. Beneath it, her skin is glossy scales - but the patterning is the same, with dark spots against faded grey.

She creeps about on twos and fours, as the mood takes her. Her limbs are long, and entirely too flexible. Glance away for a moment and her whole body takes on a more serpentine form, legs, body and tail seeming to meld... or perhaps it is mere illusion. And though her claws are always out, they are never dulled.

Meliaam is a semi-physical data-being. Originally thought to be an alternate skin for Mirqur, she has been discovered to have a long, painful history with Sosael and the Strangevirus. She may have been locked into Mirqur's code as a sentence, ages ago, for the good of society.

She's very bitey. Atazael likes this. Oh, and her physical sex is male, but there's no question of the pronoun.

She's also turned out to be a bit of a conservative musically, or at least an elitist: Tweek's sample-happy noise bothered her enough that she tried to kill him. Both of them ended up dead.

[OOC] Meliaam says, "Now that she's been busted loose from being a sub-personality, Meli seems mostly to be feral predatory instinct mixed with a certain childish, psycho narcissism. 'O I am sweet and lovely and tragic and clever,' chomp chomp stab munch."

[OOC] Inhatti says, "Yeah. The butterfly has that going on too. She's very childish at times, and occasionally describes herself as 'the loveliest' and suchlike. Very proud of who she is, nowadays, when she's coherent."

[OOC] Meliaam says, "Sort of regressed personalities. The Descendi. ;)"

[OOC] Inhatti giggles. "Someone's got to provide a counterbalance to the people trying to transcend!"
