Twin

A hint of vertigo surrounds the darkness of Twin. (Her) legs are digitigrade, ending in sharp claws; (her) cranium is back-swept, bearing a sparse, asymmetrical set of flanges. Twin's flesh looks black to the passing glance, but a steadier gaze finds subtle spirals and curves of dark color, dimly sensed across a wide range of the electromagnetic spectrum.

(She) does not appear to breathe.

The exotic patterning of Twin's entire body (even eyes and lips) is finer than any sensor can resolve: detail within detail, baroque down beyond the subatomic realms. The colors shift and intensify now and then, rippling and shattering about (her) androgynous form.

Twin is neuter. (Her) body language is feminine, but between (her) thighs is neither genitalia, nor any hint of there having ever been such a thing.

A slim blue collar rests around (her) neck, just tight enough for (her) to know it's there. Shallow arcs of energy crackle from it every now and then, vanishing somewhere deep within (her) chest; little lights blink in slow sequence. Seems someone's found a way to hold back entropy a little?

Background

Twin is a sentient singularity, drifted to consciousness out between the stars. Eventually (her) search for other minds found them embedded in mass. Twin's first attempt to join that ended in disaster when (her) self-control slipped and an entire planet full of life was drawn into (her); (she) has vowed to never do such a thing again. Puzzlebox, aware of what (she) is and hopefully able to recover if (she) slips, has become Twin's home.

Relationships

• Twin has become Amanita's pet. Twin has followed Amanita into the clutches of the Neke. (She) is now owned by Atcinna; (her) relationship with Amanita persists, as beloved sister slave rather than pet/owner. Twin is Amanita's pet.
• (She) and Grace call each other sisters.
• Twin lives in Top - the Neke-Ovon to be precise. Twin is of no fixed abode. "Home is where you find it". (She) can also frequently be found meditating in the Night Gardens.
