The Functions, NOR has never been directly observed, at least so far as any entity in
The Mess can today recall. Some even question whether this Function actually exists at all, or is merely the stuff of legends. It is supposedly a shadowy aide and counterpart to
NOT, helping to maintain the "physical laws" of Puzzlebox. Some whispered, furtive rumors even suggest NOR may have the additional duty of maintaining the actual physical structure of PBX itself, so that it continues to exist for the benefit of its
denizens.
Rumoured to be the spouse of Schroedinger. And knowing it's ways is exactly like trying to figure out the rules of the glass bead game by watching one move. It has saved the Puzzle.
