Lover of Maichirona. Killer of shadows. Eidolon of blame.

What's he look like?

For those of you in a hurry: Besax is a pale blue anthropomorphic ferret, 5'10" tall, wearing a white leather trench coat with an upturned collar that hides all of him but his face. He wears a cybernetic visor that plugs in to his temples, reflecting his surroundings.

For those of you who have an attention span: As you observe Besax closer, you see that something about him is simply wrong. It's the way that light reflects off of him. When others around him are in shadow, he appears as though in a lonely spire of light in the darkness. When he is in the light, his coat darkens from white to more shadowed tones. In fact, he appears to be a photo-negative of a perfectly mundane brown ferret in a black leather trench coat. Besax moves with purpose and confidence, fluid as an ink drop rolling across wax paper. His hands are in fists at his sides, occasionally flexing out to reveal long, sinister claws. You can see that wherever his shadow falls, no matter the light, is turned a deep, inky black, and is stained when he passes by. You can glimpse the tips of bony-tipped, blue-tinged tentacles inside his sleeves, and with a blur those sleeves are lifted by his arms as he flicks up his visor, exposing glowing red eyes with black whites and white pupils. You're seen.

Who is he?

Besax is a Morale Officer of the Architects of the Future, or so he claims. When he first arrived on the Mess, he was generally benign, but soon it was revealed that he was, in fact, a blasphemous cancer in the belly of the joyful society that he had infiltrated. When his [horrid abuse of Phoenix]? was revealed, he rapidly became much more dangerous - violent, unpredictable, and openly nihilistic and hateful. Today he has largely mellowed, his spite grown soft, but he is never someone to be taken lightly.

WHAT is he?

Phoenix and System have made several analysis' of Besax, and discovered that he is not what he seems. His true form lies in a neighboring reality, with entirely alien laws of physics, an endless void shrouded in pastel mists. He is a leviathan of a maw, a sluglike tube-form well over fourty meters long, glistening with alien slimes and capped with a great lamprey-leech mouth of hundreds of far-too-sharp needle teeth. On his back is a foul suppurant boil which disgorges endless fronds of tentacles, long and earthwormy and capped with a tapered bone hammer, filled with a slick and semenal viral slurry that pollutes all it touches. Yet this true form is quiescent, long atrophied and limp, hanging helpless by its tentacles from a terrible trembling in space and time, a distortion in the twin realities that he reaches through to reach here. These tentacles somehow created and manipulate the body that he presents, a lithesome ferret, handsome and horrid.

Just what can he do?

Besax has demonstrated many deadly powers in the past. He has great strength from the tentacles that fill his puppet-form, and claws sharp enough to cut minute holes in reality itself. His tentacles can penetrate farther in to a victim than should be possible, somehow entering not their physical form but their spiritual essence, and from there they can manipulate both mind and body without clear limit. This same ability to manipulate flesh allows him to regenerate from wounds he suffers if even the slightest shred of his flesh remains, though it is draining and requires a great deal of organic matter as fuel.

Exegesis recapitulating interpretative connexions.

Sounds great. Where is he and how do I make sure I'm not there?

Besax was restrained to Downwarp by a ['parole agreement']? he made with Phoenix, System, and Frostbyte. Should he have ever gone past the Transit Nexus, the Sentient Storage Facility, or Downwarp, his life - or at least his existence - was forfeit, but he managed to sweet-talk System in to allowing him free reign of the Mess once more. You are not safe. You cannot hide. You should stay on his good side.

Relationships

-There is a limbless, mind-blasted Charlotte-without-Sophia kept somewhere in Strange, also used for breeding.
-His current beloved, Chirona, has taken up a special place in his black heart. Such a (yellow) girl, she is...
-George is harmless enough, amusing enough, and friendly enough towards #PLACEHOLDER# that Besax has grown quite fond of it.
-Theeka adores Besax, of course! Yet somehow Her Majesty always turns all muddle-brained in his presence, and neglects to perform the many interesting tasks which he assigns her to.
-Phys-FM is harmless and naive enough that Besax finds molding (and seducing) him a very enjoyable passtime. If left unchecked, he may wind up making Phys-FM in to a very bad person.
-sabina has never gotten over the crush she developed on the one who brought her to the AoTF. Inspite of all the terrible things Besax has done to her, she is still very fond of him. Or was it because of all those terrible things?
-Flyte's people were ravaged by a massive war with an offshoot of the Architecture, which Besax revealed to him. As a result, their relationship is... terse.
-Roque is on quite good terms with #PL-err!/ and thusly is safe from Besax's depredations, but she's seen too much of the chaos that follows him to appreciate his company.
-Besax was the first creature who Ataxia met, and though his attempt to steal her for his own evil purposes was completely lost on the naive, nigh-invulnerable chaos engine, he's never felt fully comfortable around her since.
-Twin is attracted to him. (She)'s used the word "love" in the past.
-Mel has a downright bizarre relationship with Besax, best described as highly passive-aggressive. For a creature that hates no-one, Mel quite politely almost-hates Besax the most of all the denizens of the Mess. This has not stopped him from preserving Besax's life as a matter of curator principle when others have called for his obliteration, though it's obvious he directly opposes nearly everything the tentacle ferret stands for. It has been implied that if Mel had his way, Besax would remain safe from harm forever as an exhibit in the Museum, a form of protection that in no uncertain terms Besax does not relish the prospect of.
-Alba is frightened of very little, and that includes Besax, but where her tutor's aversion is tinged with hatred, her is mingled more with pity. She lacks the psychological framework to understand Besax's sadism, and literally can't imagine him being happy as he is.
-System previously deigned to imprison Besax within Downwarp to avenge Besax's attempt to kill System. Their relationship has been strained ever since.
-Bubble Dolls are generally seen as easy prey by Besax, and are regularly abused by him. This has led to a strained relationship with Jini on the rare occasions where they interact.
-Kelil claims omnipotence and as such makes Besax very nervous.
-Hydra, particularly in her persona as Beta of Hydra, has attempted to make deals with Besax in a very patronizing manner he found unpleasant.
-Squeak is highly annoying.
-Haruki sees Besax as an affront to every conceivable Lunar ethos -- but mostly just wants Besax to stay away from his damn cabbit!
-Phoenix has been the victim of too many of Besax's depredations to be considered anything but a foe.
-Sosael nearly killed Besax after he showed her a rare moment of genuine empathy and attempted to help her. She is now despised by Besax, who spends his hours dreaming of how to achieve a perfect vengeance. How do you take vengeance on someone who's been described as being "made of angst in flesh", though?
Simple. Force her to be happy. Remember when Stimpy did it to Ren? - Echo
Besax's reaction to Atazael, however, seems to so far be ambiguous.
