Extra Tidbits

For Trilogee's "real" stuff, peek at Trilogee here.

This is more a spot for me to ramble senselessly about what Trilogee is up to, how she's developed, and people to share a couple viewpoints on it. After all, what else is Tril about?

She started as a vague concept. She was much different in the beginning, and considerably less intelligent. A serious ditz with some serious problems, and little beyond that. I got a few weeks of her in, then I lost internet access for several months. Trilogee was pretty much asleep during that time, and I did some doodling and some writing. It's amazing what kinds of changes will happen when your character writing skills develop.

Trilogee grew up. She retained childlike knowlege, but managed to get an older wisdom (though some will disagree with that). She doesn't know how she got the things she knows, she just knows them and doesn't question it overmuch. I'm sure this is a good development.

Memory has some interesting thoughts on amnesia. It's not a small amount of things. I can easily see why it would be a cop-out.

She's gotten a history I didn't expect.

Of course, I didn't expect her to get a memory, either. Nevermind a retention device. I'm going to have to start logging more, her memory is magically better than mine now.

I love how developments happen without you. I'm very frightened about some of them, though. Her absolute trust in a man I'd be frightened to sit in a room with quietly (few and far between are the people I'd be frightened about period) is not something I'd expected. Particularly for a first meeting.

Now that Trilogee is remembering things, I find myself writing bits and pieces of history from the world she's from. Which I'm convinced is just some hallucination. Eventually, her brooding on it will make it real, and then she'll be really unhappy. That's become a little theme for her. She just... Believes things. And they come true. Either it's a magic ability or she's just really in tune with that kind of thing. Either way, she doesn't care. I'm thinking she's just in-tune, or something. It mostly happened after her brain was fixed, it might be leftovers from something else. I don't think I'll ever figure it out.

Of course, this does not take the fun out of figuring out what would have happened if the old Egyptians survived up until present time. It involves more skirts, less shirts, and weirder jewelry. Figuring out analogues for WWII was hilarious.

The Egyptian/Persian/Aztec/Japanese alliance against the Chinese/Russian/Indian axis powers. Which has inspired: "Damn facist pinko Russian Commie Nazis!" Which will make me laugh for years to come. It's almost as good as imagining (in a Russian accent) "Capitalist Egyptian dogs!"

Which makes me think about history. I mean, how would the world be different if Rome never dominated Egypt? What would be different if Christianity never caught on? So worship of Ra et. al. has become popular, Judaism is a close second, and Shintoism a close third. I need a name for the Egyptian religion. Found it, through a practicing friend. I think Buddhism is finally gaining popularity, but has Pinko Chinese Facist connotations, much like Paganism has Devil Worshipping Teenager connotations.

Trilogee as Tortured Artist? That one confuses me, but it seems to be happening the way people shrug her off nine times out of ten. That irritates her no end. But it amuses me. Irritates me just a little, because I go through it a lot personally. Maybe I'll learn a coping mechanism. Maro is proving an effective coping mechanism. And a wonderful method to explore things.

Is Trilogee becoming some kind of demented form of Plural? That would really confuse me, I think. But it wouldn't.

Afterword?

It's hard to find the balance with Very Happy characters coming from the not-so-happy real world. Charlotte-Sophia, for instance, oscillates between being a dumb blonde under the completely obvious control of a robot, and being a very intelligent woman who's had an interesting life-change thrust upon her, and found she enjoys her new self more.

Who cares how any character got into the Mess? Maybe they were made there. Maybe Puzzlebox just extrudes creatures with a mysterious lack of past now and then. As a sort of art project. -Twin

"Another fine Mess we've got ourselves into." Maybe Trilogee is dreaming. Maybe Trilogee only exists on the Mess, being a creation of the social and mental fields of the inhabitants. Maybe Trilogee has always been here, but peeled off a wall in Bottom when the Ontic words were read by Charlie. Maybe Trilogee is an interference pattern of probabilities caused by the Seeramic sculpture. Retcons are key, here; you might just surprise yourself, months or even years down the road when you 'find' out things about Trilogee. Ride the waves and see where they take you. -Zoe

Retconning can be marvellous. The truth about Grace has subtly and not so subtly shifted from when I first arrived onto the MUCK. Like Zoe said, you'll eventually learn things, and they might not be what you expected. -Grace
