Nexus, blue, Autocaf
Recessed into the hemispherical wall of Upwarp, the Autocaf is a single room of rounded rectangular shape, large enough to hold 36 humanoids. The 'Caf is separated from the main square by a glass wall, which mutes what little noise comes from outside. The glass is frosted, except for the designs polished into it: streams of stylized bubbles and undulating sinewaves, and lowercase helvetica spelling out the cafe's name. Cool white light spills from glowing circles in the ceiling. The tables are ellipses of smooth, dark-blue oak-laminate, with sleek white molded plastic chairs. One wall of the room is a matter compiler console, a slab of gleaming black glass in whose surface colored bars and dots of light flash randomly. A menu glows in white sans-serif capitals above the output tray, listing the day's specials: B27 - BLUE PODS IN PROTEIN HOMOGENATE; C105 - SUCROSE INFUSED LUMICYLS ON A BED OF FIBROUS VEGETABLE MATTER; D376 - SALTED STARCH FILAMENTS WITH BBQ CELLULAR PROTEIN CHUNKS. When you're done with your meal, a sliding <door> in the glass wall leads back out to Upwarp.
