Why is he so hard to describe?
Jay is everything, but he's nothing, really. He's just your customary, average, everyday kind of person.
Jay is everything without trying to be anything.
He belongs to every Faction, but doesn't belong to any Faction at all.
He's incredibly political, but doesn't engage himself in the politics of the Mess.
He's played by you.
He's played by me.
He's an awfully nice guy, sometimes.
Of course, there's those odd occasions in which he's not a very nice guy, in which case he's really mean.
He's perfectly average in every way. He's perfectly spectacular in every way.
Except, of course, when he's not a he. Insert your own pronoun.
