Ah, Xa.

Xa?

A Litston Tech infocritter, a [pangolin (yay scaly anteater)], model MT2. Its name is Xa; it was one of the first models meant for adult companionship, but corruption in the database forced the company to take it out of general service for a while. The model is still made, but only in limited numbers.

"Yo! There's more than that to my name. Damnitall, nobody else can remember the whole thing either. They didn't *used* to have backups for the backups, but I remember the living peoples fixed that and not my NAME after the thing broke that other thing there! I swear sometimes I can almost hear it in my head, you know?" They almost got the fix correct, but when you're that old you sometimes forget a detail or two, even with help. Like that a certain name has only one syllable.

It was ordered up by a little girl from Charm who wanted "a fun toy that knows lots of stuff"... choose yer poison, kid, and here it came. She eventually got bored and rebuilt herself as an adult, but didn't send Xa back; instead, she sent it off to explore for himself.

Xa
- doesn't like using peoples' proper names. "Too undignified for me. Now gimme the fookin' candy before I have to beg!"
- is uncomfortable with its lack of physical gender. "Hey, guys got feelings! I just ain't got none down there worth feeling."
- is rational in its own special way. "Nothing has to be sense, as long as it makes sense. That's how you survive in this fookin' Mess."
- prefers information to data. "I'm not givin' out quotes for fun, here!"

Happily grumpy sidekick. Easily distractable. "I am not! I focus very we- uh- what's that shiny thing in your hand?"

Definitely outgoing. And potentially annoying, but them's the breaks.
