OR prefers to manifest as an ever-changing mathematical function, plotted as a glowing white line in three (visible) dimensions. It refers to itself as the "MIGHTY FUNCTION OR" and tends to speak in all capital letters, especially around its "puny" rival sibling
XOR. OR generally projects a bumbling, self-important personality. As there is no way such a powerful being could possibly be
that stupid, it is widely assumed that OR is just putting up a comical front for the amusement of those it serves.
Quite cute, rumoured to hand out fruit-flavoured sweets from a well-wrinkled paper bag at the drop of a bloop.
OR is sesquepedalian and delicious.
OOCly, OR is [Postvixen] on [Livejournal]. As Kincaid the lavavixen, OR was the proprietor of the Dionysian Scream on TapestriesMUCK. On Puzzlebox, OR plays Alba, Alizarin, Marhime, Rezeya, Theeka, Tumult?, and perhaps a few secret alts here and there. *e often uses aex.rat as a scout character to make sure everything is going smoothly, so if you see her, feel free to say hi but forgive her if she's quiet!

players' suggestions for to-do list
- The "plot" command is something I'd love to see, but Not My Department. *grin* If this is something you'd like to see, get in touch with NOT! The other functions have wisely decided to keep Mighty Function OR away from anything that might blow up or garble the world. :) I also like Amanita's idea of some kind of spoofed polite request, ideally ICish, that goes off periodically when a room fills past a certain crowd level, to encourage some folks to branch out.
- Easily enough done. MPI in the desc checks number of players in the room and sets a property accordingly. The listen.muf program happens to check for lists of messages to play, and its timer can be set quite liberally. So you give it an empty list and a long timer to start, and when the limit is reached, give it a list with reminders and suggestions. Each time someone looks at the room's desc (using 'look here' or even just by arriving) the MPI is checked again. This is how it's done on FM for the WCotP and Studio de l'Artiste to appear/vanish on whereare.
- Hmmm! Maybe that'd be the solution, then, just have overcrowded rooms disappear from whereat as a Subtle Hint...
- The Subtle Hint??? Oh, that's such a crash club in Top. Everyone who's ANYONE is going there these days. A bunch of sentients going about mumbling polite inconsistencies to each other while they drink implied drinks. Or maybe Toppers just know each other too well. It's a strange place. You got to go there during Referral Knight, the armour and the partial quizzes, Huzzah!
- And for reasons known only to the proprietron, there's always a purple woman dancing on top of a piano...
