A broad term used to describe an intelligence that may not be "godlike", but is at least as far beyond sentience as the average sentient is beyond a dog. Given that the means to become one of these is within reach of everyone on Puzzlebox, there are very few of them hanging around. Those that are, and choose to communicate with sentient life, are almost invariably maddeningly cryptic. But then, much of sentience is cryptic to other forms of sentience. Subjectivity is a bitch.
[OOC: While it's broadly true that most of Puzzlebox denizens are "as gods, and might as well get good at it", as Stewart Brand once said, very few people seem to want to play out and out godlings. This is probably wise. It's hard to impersonate someone much, much, MUCH smarter than you are.)
Transcendi Puzzlebox Denizens
- Besax - Though Besax's intelligence seems pedestrian, if rather clever, he has often been possessed of a preternatural insight and intuition that allows him information he should not, by any right, have.
- Kelil - Kelil has openly declared its nature and intentions as a creature of godlike power. However, it sees power and sentience in a somewhat different manner, and has spoken its own opinions on mortals it deems powerful and intelligent to the point of calling them equals.
- Kelil's Avatar - After Frostbyte duplicated himself and fucked Kelil, he was profoundly altered in to a being like unto Kelil, greatly increasing his sentience and power. He now struggles in an uncanny valley, as far above the locals as men are to ants, while suffering the same relationship with Kelil himself.
- Mel - Although rumored to have manifested recently, it seems likely that Mel's appearance was less of a birth and more like a portal into reality from underneath it. Mel is at least three universe cycles old in its current form.
- Twin - In active denial of (her) mantle, placed on her by Flyte's civilization, Twin is more a sentient stellar phenomena than a classic goddess.
- The Strangevirus? Not the nice kind of transcend...
- Echo - Still learning and growing, even after achieving physical transcendence and independence.
- GrayZero - She already was a pretty impressively insightful religious leader before the Upload; being a resident of Puzzlebox's "server" has just added to her abilities. She tries to avoid being abusive or overt with such, though; it's impolite.
- Hydra - Ancient transcendi, seemingly forever treading a mad spiral toward ultimate transcendence.
