A shiny bauble...
Echo's original body was human. Being a meditationist, focused inward, that first self was explored as thoroughly as a human mind can - and finally one day was left behind, collapsing into dust. Echo had become a free spirit. As such, any or no body may form the interface between Echo and other beings.
Interestingly, Echo also appears to sometimes subdivide or multiply. Perhaps this was originally a quirk of being able to restore extra bodies from backup; new instantiations were called forth, all of them sharing each other's information in full. The momentary lone Echo was numbered zero, and additional Echos given increasing numbers. When only one was extant, it was designated zero once again. This numbering system became tedious, it seems, and has since been abandoned.
At some point, Echo started giving up things, including fear of Strange as Strange. Time was spent in meditation before the "statue" there. Mel's encounter with Sebkha interrupted this, and Echo dedicated some time to the guardianship of Phys-FM. Eventually, that effort was decided to be unnecessary. Meditation resumed.
It resulted in a new transcendence. As such, Echo's public identity and capabilities have been rapidly shifting to keep up with the expanding awareness of self-as-all.
Currently, Echo no longer requires a physical existence; multiple location and extended awareness are just tricks, ripples in spacetime. A tendril might slip in out of nowhere to briefly converse with someone. Or a plant. Or a soft little voice.
Echo forgets the surrounding audience sometimes, assuming that most persons encountered have achieved the same level of fulfillment (if not enlightenment). Emotional metaphors can occasionally be mistaken for physical declarations. Perhaps this is a cover-up or a ruse of some sort.
Echo's internal voices (the mental conversation most people have with themselves) appear to now be speaking externally to some extent...
Ardra? recieves a mention here.
Camilla came seeking wisdom. It is willingly given, what little there is to give.
Someone thinks she has erased herself. History forgot, but there's always a memory somewhere.
[OOC] Anyone who wishes to add themselves here is welcome to, including newbies - remember, Echo has been around a while; you might have met at some point.
Trilogee has had a memorable encounter: "Well, Echo was there while I got a memory put in. It was interesting. Echo has always been kind to me, at least as far as my limited memory serves. Everybody could use a friend that's willing to perform brain surgery with a mad scientist."
