Location: The Mess Birthdate: Unknown Bio: At the beginning, Blip was just a simple node on an information network in a small backwater civilization of the Puzzlebox, which had lapsed into pre-post-scarcity and was struggling to return. The node had been created by a furry teenager, who told her friends about it, and they told their friends, and soon articles were written and distributed, and more and more people started using the node, contributing their own thoughts and ideas into one central point on the information network. And so it evolved a consciousness in a completely unintended manner, and named itself Blip, and absorbed the rest of the information network into itself. Then, just to make sure that it had all the information necessary, it digitized the entire civilization from which it came, wiping out their physical existences and storing them in its memory. At this point, it reconstituted itself as pure gravitational waves as the medium for its existence, warping space locally enough to produce a visible image. Modelled, of course, on its initial creator. But then Blip got bored, being primarily the result of a teenage girl's rather angstful whinings about her life. So Blip deleted nearly all of its memory, including the sum of its entire civilization save for whatever the teenage girl had written about, and decided to start over somewhere else -- gathering information through experiences and writing them afresh to its newly wiped memory core. And that's why Blip has come to The Mess. It needs to write something in itself. It can feel and look like normal (and taste and smell, usually), but really it's composed of compressed gravitational energy shaped into specific physical properties. Blip can change its appearance by simply de-rezzing, and re-rezzing as something else. Currently, Blip has an octopoid lower half, as octopus is the new black. Normal DescriptionWhat it normally looks like She's fuzzy around the edges. No, not from fur; she just tends to go out of resolution at the sides of her visible existence. Although she does have fur: Most of it either a nice flat #000000 or a bright shade of #FFFFFF. She appears to be ursine of some sort, with black circles around her eyes. Beyond that, she looks like a small teenage girl, dressed in a red metal jumpsuit, with a flat panel where her stomach should be. This panel routinely displays small graphical representations of whatever emotion she is feeling at the time. Right now, it's feeling: [ bouncy ] Dark BlipThis is Ibael's fault. It's an anthropomorphic ANGSTY DARK TEEN LiveJournal. Fuzzy around the edges doesn't quite do it justice, as this dark infonode literally has randomly scattered holes throughout its body, little moving patches of non-existence floating across its surface. Where before it had taken the form of a cute teenage pandaling, now Blip is a reversed shadow of its former self. Skeletal and wasted looking, its fragile arms are riddled with old and new scars, gouges cut in the mangy white fur, self-inflicted when it cut itself to escape the pain. Ribs poke out painfully under the black fur of its chest as it stoops over from the agony of mere existence. Haunted, bloodshot eyes on a dark face are ringed by pale white circles, increasing the skull-like appearance of the gaunt furry cheeks. It appears to have not bathed for weeks, matted hair and fur in a reverse-panda pattern over its body. For clothing it wears tattered red scraps hanging off its shoulders, barely covering its dangly, saggy breasts. In its belly is set a small mood display panel, currently showing: [ like YOU fucking care?!? ] Blip's legs are bare and painfully thin, the dirty white fur drooping loosely from the bones.
