This page represents a basic overlay of a puzzlebox character in the works. I'm currently trying to figure out whether the ideas I have for him can work, and more importantly whether or not I could enjoy playing the character as he's taking shape. I tinker, and I fiddle, and I faddle, and hopefully I'll eventually have something interesting to work with.

Anyways, the current plan is for Manix to be a pilgram from a planet within the puzzlebox. He joined a cult during his younger years that was dedicated to trying to make contact with the creator of the universe. The Radio Mission took in children of all ages and put them through all manner of bizarre experiment to try and make contact with the creator. Manix had his eyes removed at 14 so he could tune his other senses to be strong enough to, perhaps, hear the creator's words. When that failed he had bolts driven into his skull with tiny speakers and a receptor band (which, conveniently, functioned as a blindfold to cover his ever-vacant glass eyes.) Filling his time with explorations of the human mind and spirit, Manix spend another five years before he picked up a signal.

It was faint, but he could have sworn he heard the universe crying.
However faintly, he could have sworn he heard the universe crying.

His mission provded him with a small ship, sending manix to drift nearly two years in space trying to chase the source of the sound he heard. Thus Manix came upon the mess.

::I've played a Blind character before - Miesha Iliescu. But she lost sight through more violent and non-consensual means. Still, neither that nor the fact that Roque had been blind make blindness any less valid for Manix, I think. I also find it interestingly similar to GrayZero, in the seeking acceptance of a creator concept. ~Ataxia

OOC comment: Sounds potentially interesting, though I'd be careful about how the blindness is treated (it's kind of been done). Still, I'm curious. --g0

IC comment: She's quite clever when it comes to attracting people She finds interest in, no? Although I admit I am puzzled as to why She would not have contacted anyone directly... perhaps it would not have been appropriate. --GrayZero
