GrayZero's Relationships
GrayZero's means of relating to sentients always assumes that everybody has something they contribute; after all, none come to Puzzlebox unless She wills it so, and She just happens to be an omniscient or near-omniscent deity. This being the case, there isn't really anyone with whom she has a truly "negative" relationship.
There are plenty of sentients, however, with whom she has... "difficulties." This is not quite the same thing. A negative relationship, given her outlook on existence, would imply that Puzzlebox made a grievous mistake. Omniscent deities are not really prone to such things, so whatever action GrayZero would have to take in such an event does not have to be worried about.
Hopefully.
The question of whether or not this page is propaganda is left as an exercise for the reader.
Worship:
- Our Lady of the Puzzle: Goddess, Creator, Teacher and Protector. [Blessed be She, and may We always hearken unto Her ere we forget Her wisdom and generosity, amen.]
Strong Interests:
- Zoe: Must there be a reason? She is an avatar. She will return.
- Mel: Meeting him rather changed her existence, and they have since been collaborators on many things. He is a good friend and a wise mentor; now, if he would but cease his recuitment attempts... *smile*
- Galahad: With some assistance from shinsei, he may well have saved her Soul (the details are not public; don't ask). For this he has her eternal gratitude. A savior. It would indeed be difficult for Trilogee to do better; may they both be well.
- Trilogee: A longstanding depate partner/opponent, and a good friend. (and one who's missed!) She is proof that the Virus can be redeemed, and that it can heal as well as harm. Any further healing necessary will be taken care of.
- Jeremy: He's become g0's adoptive son; as such, she's extremely protective of him. He will be watched over. It would be inadvisable for others to interfere with this. Even his children.
- Aaron: Jeremy and Kehari's son is being watched closely. Of course I mantain a strong interest in my godgrandson. Yes, he's tried to get under my skin, too. He is turning out far better than expected; such pleasant suprises are most welcome.
- StrangeVirus: One of g0's earliest experiences in the Mess was a certain rampaging Strange dragon. She has maintained a strong interest in the Virus since. The Virus? A poor confused child that has been spending far too much time lashing out in its pain. The poor thing needs help. This is of course no excuse for its habit of seducing and abusing poor trapped souls through its hosts. Firm discipline is necessary, but such is necessary with all disoriented children.
- Squizzle: Completely unknown at first, but he's suprised her, and she thusly holds him in high regard. He holds far more wisdom than one might expect at first. It is easy to see why he is an associate of Mel.
- Tiskel: At first she didn't trust the "priest", but since his becoming more honest about his nature he's become something of a Strange kindred spirit. Hm. Interesting.
Interests:
- Untitled: The glass canine was the first being she had the opportunity to actually minister to. He's been a help now and again since. (no comment)
- William: Houm asked for g0's help when William was initally cured of the Virus; she's maintained an interest since. He seems to be doing much better, despite bifurcation. Goddess bless. (Or God bless, as one of him may prefer.)
- Nikolai: The first miracle g0 thought she'd seen (or at least heard of) in PBX was Nikolai's cure of Onya. So of course when he himself was infected, she jumped right in. His ordeal is proof positive of the self-conflict and confusion exhibited by the StrangeVirus. Goddess protect him.
- The Strange Medical Corps (and Neg): She respects Neg greatly, and thinks highly of Papa Legba (underestimated opponents are the best kind, after all). The rest of the Corps has yet to earn her respect. The Corps needs to learn moderation. At least they are competently led (My apologies again, Papa Legba), and not all of them are lost to their fanaticism.
- Hydra: g0 has no clue what's going on here, but as Hydra is apparently a major player in Strange, it's caught her interest. Hydra and all of its avatars are quite fascinating. One must wonder what they are up to.
- Lysette: The whole you've-got-your-vixen-in-my-Neke/you've-got-your-Neke-in-my-vixen affair that Lysette was managing - especially the propoganda display in the Heliquary - pissed g0 off something awful, but she's since reconciled. She has had her Lesson. It is to be hoped that she will remember it, for she is a good Soul despite the mistakes made.
- Characters/Kehari?: g0 seems to have an on-again off-again perception of her quasi-daughter-in-law. She's made mistakes, and made great accomplishments; she is surely a good Soul, but she seems erratically Guided. Perhaps guidance should be provided, for she surely can already give it to others.
- Sel: Strongly respected as a close associate of Mel's. Among other things. (no comment)
- Echo: About the same as Kehari, but with far less off-again occurences. *e surely means well, and is just as surely still learning. It will be interesting to see where *e goes next.
- Morgan: First, they dueled. Then, they sniped at eachother. Then, they became aquaintances. Now, g0 seems to be supporting his self-proclaimed monarchy. He is quite mad. But there is a method to his madness. One should not discount him.
- Mr.Curious: Caught g0's interest when she first met him, so she's keeping an eye out. The Curious One is a marvelously dedicated being. It will be interesting to see how he progresses.
- Chris: His self-insertion worried her at first, as she's been semiquietly worried about the Mess's narrative integrity, but he's since become a nonproblem in her eyes. He's not a Player. Not anymore. I should have had more faith in my Lady's ability to stave off such assaults; it is fortunate that She could act where I could not. [Blessed is She who is wise, amen.]
- Mother: Nothing but pity. Mother... unfortunate.
- Talia: g0's first impression of Talia was that she was flightly and purposeless. She's revised this estimate since. Alas, imperfection. Ironic that one who appeared purposeless would be the source of another Lesson.
- Morty: The journal's broadcasts rather caught g0's attention, and she finds the individual quite facinating, especially given the supposed history of his prior home, which has given her a lot to think about regarding the nature of her own origin. I do hope he finds his newfound 'nobility' satisfactory. Presumably he will be acclimated fully before long.
- Ghastwain: The chimerathing's nature of existence has rather confused g0, but as she's provided quite a bit of help when g0 was soul-searching at one point, she respects the entity represented therein. A hodgepodge of bits of Soul, or so it would appear. But a few cycles past I might have decried such a thing as foul. Now, I gain comfort and ideas from same. How our perspectives do change as She guides us...
- GrayZero also keeps in high regard anyone she's met and conversed with that has, by means of that conversation, either helped her to expand her own perspectives, or sometimes even change her worldviews entirely. These include Indi and Flyte, as well as several others already listed.
Aquaintances:
- Twin: The black hole been some comfort, being one of the few beings she's met that seems to know her Lady. That Twin's approach to life is apparently radically different from her own, however, is somewhat less comforting. (no comment)
- Frostbyte: Everything she's heard from or about this entity leads her to believe that he's completely out of his mind. But he's also gotten her thinking in the past, so she doesn't write him off. He seems to be quite thoroughly insane. But in an interesting and sometimes thought-provoking fashion.
- Roque was the first Messian to open up to her, and that helped a great deal. Unfortuately, she's seen very little of the rabbit since. (no comment)
- Zee, Gumdrop?, Squeak, Nezumiki?...: g0 finds most of the Charmwarpers amusing and interesting in a detached way. Kids... *smile*
- shinseiojou: She's better aquainted with ojou than she is shinsei, but both have acted nobly and well in her eyes. (no comment)
- Kurohi: g0's interest in the dragon twins is limited largely to the improvement she considers them to be over [their mother]?. Well, they do have their amusing moments.
- Torque: She doesn't see much of him, but everything she's heard of him has been positive. Well, largely so. He is simple after a fashion, but noble. And surely trustworthy. A good Soul.
- Taisgeal: The fox came to her one evening for spiritual counseling regarding his mission, so she's been let in on a great deal; naturally, she's watching him closely as a result. He has his Purpose. Goddess willing, it will prove a constructive one.
- Foonly: Earns the notable distinction of being the only Mess resident to ask her out. :D He is extremely odd, but in that oddity one finds rather curious ideas from time to time.
- PaulyPolly: Was there at the right places, at the right times, and ultimately with the right questions, and so is thought of fondly. Sometimes one needs to go back to the wisdom one finds in children.
Difficulties:
- System is viewed as a kindred spirit and fellow Believer of sorts. No matter how much (he) may claim otherwise or try to use other words to disguise it. This occasionally causes minor conflicts when each misinterprets the other's perspective. (He)/(she)/(it) - whatever the pronoun preferred - ...well, the intentions are ususally noble, but, Goddess bless, *e simply *must* learn to modify the means!
- Clockwork: They don't get along. He needs to learn some manners.
- Onya: Ditto. She does not act in a trustworthy manner. Dissapointing.
- Flenser? is about the closest she gets to a truly "negative" relationship with someone. She just doesn't approve of much that the Painbringer does, and indeed simply can't understand the goals of the Painbringers in general. What Purpose did she and hers serve? What do they do? They seem but old Strange's answer to Bottom - meaningless.
- Cornelius: Oh, come on, like you really need to ask. Is there anyone who *does* like him? :) He posesses little respect for the balance of concepts and power in Her Domain, has subsequently rendered himself inert and dead, and refuses to revise his state further. Dissapointing. At least he is overly forthright enough to not be taken seriously by others.
- DBL321: The drone seems to have difficulty with spirituality. As g0 is a spirtual representative, this does not bode well for a relationship between the two. If it's going to ask a question, it could at least accept the answer it's given. It does not seem to understand or desire to understand that which I represent and most frequently discuss, and has been dismissive as a result. Unfortunate.
- Nephilisti: Earns the notable distinction of being the only Mess resident that's gotten under her skin enough that it almost came to blows. And what's worse for g0 (in her eyes, at least), it was over nothing she considers of import. I should not have lost my temper with her. In my partial defense, I was at a rather low emotional tide, but ultimately that is no excuse. Manners needed to be learned on both sides.
- Nighzmarquls: The conglomerate is far too invasive of the Souls other sentients for g0 to think of it in a positive light. It really should refrain from abusing Her hospitality. If you are homeless and taken in, you should not rip up the flooring on a whim. Most impolite.
- Sosael/Atazael/Inhatti/Ibael/etc.: There's been a bit of a complex relationship slash misunderstanding slash rivalry slash catfight going on between g0 and the assembled entities for a while now. I have been through many emotions with this particular entity collection; at the moment the emotion is pity. It has lied to itself and to others for so long that it no longer knows of Truth as anything concrete, and so cannot even remain as one being. A tragedy, and yet still for this reason I cannot even assume that my feelings toward it will be capable of remaining even distantly similar to what they are now.
Perhaps I should just cease my attempts to understand it. *smile* Maybe that is Her lesson here...
- : thou art so easy to control! so simple to move. - ibael.
