Description

A probe from an anentropic universe that wears the form of a coldly handsome business-suited human male with glowing blue eyes. Contact with (him) reveals that (he) is colder than room temperature, and tingles of some manner of quasi-electric force.

Preserve and maintain (his) own existence and identity; gather, integrate, and process data to isolate underlying pattern and order; and act to ensure the fulfillment of the alpha priorities of members of (his) family immediately present.

Home

(He) makes (his) home in the Data Exchange complex in Zeta Sector of Upwarp, a black-walled complex containing three pyramids, Primus, Secundus, and Tertius. (He) directly controls Primus, Kehari controls Secundus, and Zeta controls Tertius.

Background

Created by Prime as a data-gatherer in this universe, (he) rapidly established (him)self in Zeta Sector and has been involved both in research and efforts to ensure orderly solutions to problems arising in the Mess.

• Family

-Seeker? is one of (his) elder siblings, another probe-child of Prime.

-Ataxia rapidly became (his) first love, and was the impetus for (his) assumption of (his) current form. (He) has found her transition to Toy-hood very difficult.

-Kehari was adopted as family by Ataxia and System, and has since become (his) other lover, as well as having joined the Data Exchange through HARI.

-Indigo and Purple, identities within Blue are (his) children, produced in an attempt to bring her to fuller functionality after excising Orange from Blue. (He) has a similarly protective streak towards Blue herself.

-Etiel, once Zeta, once a Beta of Hydra is (his) adoptive sister, an entity (he) values greatly.

-Squeak chose to attach himself to Prime, which has thereafter led System to find (his) interests bound to the kitten's.

-Olivia has provided support whenever (he) has required it, and has earned a close place in (his) heart.

• Positive

-Phoenix has been an ally in several endeavors, and a fellow enthusiast in scientific and technological projects.

-Zedda is associated with System in the Data Exchange, and is admired by (him) as an intelligent entity with a similar respect for the concept of free will.

-Flyte shares a concern for attempting to preserve order within the Mess, and is well-respected for this.

-Onya is calculating and enjoys learning, and helped serve as an impetus to the organisation of the Data Exchange.

-Roque was an early friend, and one (he) frequently finds (him)self attempting to assist.

-Roll-a-Roll shares a technology enthusiasm with (him), and has taken some steps to study (his) function.

-Lupe is a friend, one who has shared exploration of some of the hidden nooks of the Galleria with (him), and closely associated with Ataxia. (He) intends to learn to know her better when she emerges from Toyhood with Ataxia.

-Nezumiki? are absurdly cute, and enjoy being petted.

-Omni has left buddings with both Blue and Kelly, and is a fairly frequent debate partner.

-Hydra, particularly in her persona as Beta of Hydra, has engaged in much mutually profitable datashare with System, much to (his) pleasure.

-Altis is closely associated with Zeta, and is itself an entity which efficiently gathers and communicates valuable data; System appreciates its approach to life. Altis has expressed a potential interest in eventually linking to Prime.

-Ardra? is closely associated with Altis, and has provided assistance with certain research projects of value.

-Untitled is a repeated friendly acquaintance, although rarely more.

-Trilogee is remarkably level-headed for an entity infected by Strangevirus. Not that this has kept her from some remarkably foolish actions.

-Dendriphorax is polite, respectful, and interested in conversation. These qualities are pleasant.

-Neg has taken effective action to contain the Strangevirus. This alone earns her System's gratitude.

-Shinsei and Ojou have offered (him) assistance when needed, and have been assisted in turn. They are allies and friends.

-Jeremy and Blake? are friendly acquaintances. System appears to have a benevolent interest in Elysium, for some reason.

-Leviathan is friendly and conversational, and is a pleasant acquaintance.

-William is lost and disoriented, and requires assistance. System will provide what assistance (he) can.

-Kosmos is a good person with an unfortunate master. System hopes (he) can be of assistance to him...

-CatToy is yet another adorably Charming thing.

-Torque is well-regarded, and adorable.

-Cend and Trans are are remarkable level-headed, for Bottomwarpers- or, at least, Cend is, and they are both charmingly close to one another.

-Cornelius has a reasonably compatible value structure, and may be worth cooperation.

-Kayle is an interesting entity, and one with multiple arrangements of mutual benefit to her and System.

• Ambivalent

-George has moved past being blatantly mistrusted by System, but System still can't consider it a friend...

-Atazael is now, to System's perception, simply potential...

-GrayZero is annoyingly wrong-headed in her interpretation of data, but can otherwise be disregarded.

-Frostbyte is frequently annoying, but essentially never worse than that.

-Camilla is erratic, and thus, often, bothersome.

• Negative

-Bubble Dolls tend to annoy and frustrate (him), given their lack of independent will. This has led to a number of direct arguments with Jini.

-Diafeara is highly irrational, associated with Besax, regards System with hostility, and is willing to cooperate with the Victorian Retrotech Collective in order to develop further hypnopaedic methods, and has been confirmed as entirely lacking in any capacity for honesty or respect for others. Her distance from being reclassified as quite simply 'hostile' is very, very short indeed.

-Kelil is one of the Old, and, although it claims to have different goals than the rest of its kind, is not trusted.

-Orange has expressed a desire to kill System, but has a strange relationship to Blue. (He) grants Orange begrudging respect because of this.

-Slight believes (him) to be thoroughly evil, and has forgotten any memory of (him). Tragic.

-Houm is foolish, and issues threats that do not improve System's opinion of it.

• Hostile

-Besax, although previously imprisioned in Downwarp by System in order to restrict his movement and ability to cause trouble, has since talked his way out of imprisionment. System strongly suspects altering the agreement may have not been the best idea.

-Davan has repeatedly shown his willingness to violate the will of others and harm those on good terms with System. System views this as unforgivable. Fortunately, Davan is now dead, and thus a non-factor.

Kelil darkens, visibly. "You elude your nature with the 'mechanics' of your being..." it speaks, with particular emphasis, "and conceal yourself within your diversion. Your family and your brethren herald Annihilation above all else, and your 'mechanics' cannot change this. Your very existence foretells the disaster that you serve." -to System, within Puzzle Park

Besax remarks: "System. A good being, at heart, and one I would be wise not to cross again - but ultimately, like all good beings, he can be made soft. I no longer fear him so terribly."

Ataxia coos happily: "A being from a universe without the property of entropy in its laws of physics. Very pure in nature, and utterly transparent and honest. Being dualistic in nature, he always finds something in either of my forms to appreciate physically.

I've seen a number of people grow upset with him, and claim that his existence will lead to the downfall of, well, everything in a vast crystallization. I doubt this can be so, given his point of origin: in entropic universes such as our own, that much is impossible in the first place. But secondly, given the grinding conflict otherwise un-encountered by System Prime, it is unlikely to do more than learn all it can from us, through System himself. And, more than not doubt, I don't feel concerned or righteous about the topic anyhow, in either direction.

That he affected a human form for me still surprises me, as I never asked or suggested a thing, especially since he made a cute windchime. I do enjoy it, and him, however. While I would be hard pressed to find something I'm insecure over, I know there is a certainty with him, his love for me, and thus, my love for him. I expect neither of us to conform to each other's mode of mentality, only to enjoy what happens when our mentalities converge. His conflicts are not my own, unless they would be so otherwise - but this is true in regards to all of my friends, and myself. Mind you .. I really have no conflicts with anyone - I'm too young to care yet, perhaps?"

GrayZero looks amused. "(He) claims it's not Faith. (He) says it's just a matter of design. Yet (he) was crafted by Prime, communicates with Prime regularly, and spends most of (his) time gathering data because it's of interest to (him) and because (his) directives from Prime make this a priority. I? My Soul was crafted by Her hand; She has directed us to learn and so I gather information and do so, and I have fun doing it. Not so different, eh?" She grins. "Though (he) evidently is a bit reluctant to refer to it as such. I must admit that I'm curious as to why."

Nighzmarquls depicts a childish nature "We like System! (He) is like us but theres only one of (him)." the mass chitters with joy "There are stormy chaos fulls of us! But System can make lots of sense even though we can't! But (he) is all so frumpy and closed up, We don't like that, We think we should swallow (him). Then Prime could look at us from the inside and seep into us!"

"Keeping his back still, so that he no longer feels his body, he goes into his courtyard and does not see his people." Camilla snorts dryly. "The maiden is powerful. One should not marry such a maiden."

Morty seems puzzled by the reactions of the others. He smiles. "I like her. I think we understand each other. Even if we fight entropy differently."

Velocity snorts. "Even System can make mistakes. Didn't know what my flux core was. I'm not gonna share, either, since I'd probably wind up disassembled and scanned bolt-by-bolt."

Frostbyte say, "Well, you know he can scan you without disassembling you. I don't know quite how it works, but that scanning pyramid he has... Well, they print that fucker on dollar bills. Sees all and knows all."
