Lysette pauses in the Transit Nexus on her way to Downwarp. She witnesses Strange Frostbyte's artistic work in progress, a painting which comes to life at the end, a warp in the timeline. She takes her Corpse and runs off with it! The obvious thing to do!

Blinding whiteness resolves into a field of gleaming, ice-white hexagonal tiles, their tesselation seemingly perfect to the micron. The tiling entirely covers the walls and ceiling of this stark, hexagonal room, except for the rectangles of rippling liquid mirror, each a different color, placed equidistant along the walls, and the hexagonal glow-panels in the ceiling that bathe the room in cool bluish-white radiance.
Frostbyte gestures for System to come closer.
Lysette peeks for a few moments, grappling in.
Roque wheels out of the gold mirror, for once in a long time looking refreshed and well-groomed.
System sighs. "You'll pardon me, Frostbyte, if I decline, after what you did to Squeak."
Squeak licks and licks until the wound seems healed, then he returns to his usual play mode and, on seeing System with a ball, bounds over, jumping and squeaking excitedly!
System states quietly, "Hungry, kitten? You got hurt, and I know you may need something to eat..."
Rheoryn cocks his head to the side, frowning in thought at Roque now. "Given when we are now...." He mumbles and then blinks, realizing he's being very rude. "I am Rheoryn, Jambo." He bows slightly to the new, to him, folks.
Frostbyte instantiates a knife at the end of a small chain, and flicks it at one of System's less vital areas with great swiftness and violence.
Lysette's brows raise quietly, her tail clicking side to side as she glances down curiously..
System frowns in irritation as some of the polymer and cloth covering the metal of (his) arm is gouged off. Under the wound, bundles of black metal fiber gleam brightly in the light.
Rheoryn grins a bit at Frostbyte, "I somehow doubt you could harm your ordered friend there."
Camilla starts, her tail flicking. "I should think ... it would be prudent to be elsewhere. I will take my leave."
Camilla touches the blue transit mirror and vanishes.
Roque glances towards Frostbyte coolly. "That was quite rude, Frost. Even for you." She then looks back towards Rheoryn, paying the growing fight little mind. "We met in the park before. Roque." She wheels herself closer to the jackal, then glances towards the chain, following it back to its source. "Oh, and hello Lysette."
System bows politely. "It is pleasant to see you, Roque, Lysette."
Roque keks to the dataprobe. "Hello, System."
Squeak squeeeaks excitedly some more, he seems quite taken with the ball today and jumps up a few times to show his enthusiasm!
Rheoryn's ears flick, "Ah, so we did. Do pardon me....my....interface to this spacetime is sometimes....flawed."
Frostbyte pulls the knife back, plucking the polymer and blackmetal fibers from the knife, and arranging them neatly on his sketch. He holds a sketchpad in his lap, writing in it cautiously.
Lysette smiles lopsidedly.. "Just a causal day is it here, then? Hello System, Roque."
System drops the ball down to Squeak, smiling to the tiger.
Roque tilts her head to the side, studying Frostbyte for a moment. "I must say that's a new look for you. Heavily archaic, not to mention visceral, but not alltogether displeasing. I dare say the Tude would find it quite charming."
Frostbyte looks to Roque, and gestures for her to come closer.
[OOC] Frostbyte says, "Oh, this is going to be a hell of a moment."
[OOC] Roque has no reason not to trust Frost... this is going to suck.
Roque murmurs a soft pardon to Rheoryn, then turns and wheels herself closer to Frostbyte. "Yes?"
System chuckles. "Well, Lysette, Sabina inadvertantly proposed marriage to Squeak..."
Lysette blinks, and giggles.. "How does one inadvertently propose marriage, System?"
Squeak grabs the ball and chews on it a few times before swallowing it, a lump appearing in his throat.
System states quietly, "When one speaks to Squeak via squeaking without understanding what one says."
Frostbyte's sword goes snicker-snack, shaves off a chunk of Roque's skin. Expertly he dabs up the gore with his brush and goes back to his sketch - which appears to be an image of all those here after a brutal battle with him, the battleground somehow coalesced in to an eerily beautiful landscape of color, motion, and form.
System sighs heavily. "That was apallingly impolite, Frostbyte."
Lysette's tail click clicks.. "I suppose that's one way, though I didn't imagine Squeak would propose.." she blinks, and raises her ears high, pausing a moment..
Roque's eyes go wide and round, whites exposed all around the irises at the sudden flash of pain. A small square, perhaps two cents to a side, of flesh seems to vanish, the area quickly turning red with blood that wells up from the site, staining the surrounding fur pink. The linings of her ears go pale, the blood draining from them suddenly. Her muzzle opens, but nothing comes out. She appears to have gone momentarily into shock.
Foonly has arrived.
Foonly says, "Greetings, programs."
System crosses over to Roque, resting a hand on her shoulder. "Let's get you to Beta Sector, Roque."
Lysette dips down, grappling near to Roque, glancing a moment at Frostbyte, then cooing to both her and System, "I can help. I rarely get to do anything medical anymore.."
Rheoryn frowns heavily, he steps over next to Roque and glides a hand down over the wound, "I can heal her right now."
Frostbyte seems content to use this new pigment to perfect the basis of his sketch.
System nods. "If you two are medics, then..."
Frostbyte stands. For an instant, there is a possibility that, his rough draft complete, he will explode in to violence and complete the final piece. Roque tries to wheel herself backwards, away from Frostbyte, the other paw covering the wound on her leg. At Rheoryn's and Lysette's words, she turns, then keks once, her throat dry.
There is a sense that, somewhere, this has already happened.
Abruptly the room is consumed in a flash of violence, yet no blows fall - though when the disorientation clears, there are carbon copies of each of you on the floor, each of you fallen in ferocious battle or desperate flight, the room stained with fibers of metal and spatters of gore.
Slowly, this unreality wavers away, as Frost looks it over, and grows content with it.
"This calls for magic," Foonly asides to Rheoryn. "The best kind."
But in it's own horrid way, it was a beautiful sight.
Frostbyte bows, and leaves.
System gets a progressively more annoyed expression on (his) face.
Frostbyte touches the red transit mirror and vanishes.
Squeak squeaks at the other him on the floor and runs around it.
Rheoryn snickers at that, "Something like that." He pushes down on the wound, it is not exactly unpainful, but the jackal begins to murmur. "life, come to me, spare this one pain this day." Falling down to one knee, the same leg as Roque seems wounded in a mirror image to Roque's, but it rapidly heals and closes up. "Rrrf, that....was a very strange wound, it should not have done that to me." He of course, has never healed something caused by someone from strange, and may not even know what strange is yet.
Lysette sighs softly.. "Dear jackal, if you can heal her outright.." she trails. She grapples over to her corpse as it drifts endlessly, and takes hold.
System bows. "If you shall pardon me, my vanity demands that I mend my clothing and my flesh."
System smiles in marginal humor.
Roque watches the wound slowly fade, pink skin covering the patch where the blade hit. The area is furless, but healed. It probably won't even scar. "Thank you," she murmurs softly. "Though, I must state that the shock and surprise was more at stake than the actual injury. I've been upgraded sufficiently as to heal from things like that given a reasonable timeframe." She then keks softly and bows towards the jackal. "Thank you nonetheless, though. I am sorry you had to suffer for it as well."
Induction-Coil has arrived.
System states quietly, "I shall speak with you later, Roque. I regret that we did not encounter under more pleasant circumstances."
Rheoryn grins a bit, flicking his tail. "It was exhilarating in a way. I did not yet know I could be wounded in this spacetime. Painful yes, but very interesting."
Induction-Coil waves, wandering in.
Foonly says, "Is it safe?"
Roque sniffs at the air, then turns towards the coyote and waves. "Hello, Indi."
Lysette hugs her corpse quietly, and tugs it off back home, getting a bit bloody as the corpse trails into colonization mode, and solidfies.
