Summary
Strange Library recently seemed to lose its Secretary.
And yet, something has appeared, scrawled on a Library wall. In blood:
Secretary - Position Vacant: Our current Secretary is out on Secondment. Impressive package plus attractive annual performance bonus. A great opportunity exists to experience this opportunity based in the heart of the city, as their Receptionist/Secretary. To be successful in this role you will have at least Timebooknotreturned experience in a similar role, have intermediate skills in hand writing, syzygy, discussion, dissemination, dusting, destruction, dest desting destiny, and a dictation speed of 90 wpm. You will also pride yourself on your impeccable presentation, have an excellent personal manner, superior communications skills, and radiate a confident enthusiastic nature.
Since no one has been given information of where to apply and what the going rates are, things seem a little mystifying. However, the very fact of there being a note means that someone...somewhere...must have put it up.
Right?
- Tiskel, in his attractive, elfin state is the Library's new Secretary! Exactly what this means for William is unknown, although William seems to trust Tiskel. Tiskel has, after all, introduced himself as a priest of William's native planet...
- You see, there was this time, this place, in Charm. A promise was made regarding Art. To one without comprehension. And sometimes, Art takes quite a long time.
- Secondment does not last forever.
- Desire for play certainly can.
- Love happens to us all, in all its flavours, from trusting to horrendous.
Possibly Involved Events?
- Houm's recent 'curing' of Sweet William's Strange Virus.
- Tiskel, Torque's arm.
Possible Players...
- Sweet William, the first Secretary, and probably a very old creature.
- Houm and GrayZero - Both currently involved with William's post-infection recovery. Whether or not that leads to involvement with the Library's search has yet to be seen.
- Sosael seems to have an interest in finding out who lied to William this time...and then again might not.
- Tiskel - Torque's arm, infected by William before is change. And containing a copy of the old William. It has been seen hanging about the Library quite a bit...
- Camilla - Who better than a Victorian Bonobian to seduce an equally Victorian, bedazzled creature?
- Frostbyte - Probably had no idea he was involved, but there's definitely some interest in him. Teacher/lover/victim. But how in hell would anyone ever turn the most be-weaponed, sensual man around into a victim...? And more importantly, why?
- Lysette - Oh, did the Space Hyena ever have a time with William while cured! Ah, but she knew this would be over, so this is not a surprise, nor even unwelcomed! She intends to continue her relationship, as she had never left it off with the change or now past it! (Though, she'll keep the respects that she had in the past, now that the past is the present and future once more.) However, its hard to do anything with William when he's dead. No coffee breaks for her and the secretary? What of ice cream? Such dramas for the Space Hyena!
- Kehari? - The Dark Vixen was deeply invested in William.. But, now what? And what about what she was looking for...
- Ataxia - The jaql may yet want to do terrible things to William, and the Library. Or maybe just the opposite..
Any Connections?

What Happened?
After being re-introduced to physical pleasure and the ideals of friendship, companionship, and joy by his many acquaintances, particularly
Camilla and
Frostbyte, William was doing exceptionally well. He had given up his reality-smoothing glasses, and in any case,
Tiskel had taken over duties as Secretary.
This was particularly apt since while physically different, William and Tiskel shared essentially identical StrangeVirus characteristics due to the peculiar method of Tiskel's creation. He was more than capable of taking over the Vacant Position. William himself was more than happy living in Top under the Magistrate's good will, and had even seemed to make better friends with Ataxia.
However, Tiskel wanted his William back...biding his time, he eventually seduced William in Down and reinfected him without William realising what would be the result of matters, as witnessed by Frostbyte. Before Strange William and Tiskel had done much other than plot certain events regarding Squeak and Morgan, Frostbyte reappeared to try and untangle the situation.
Unfortunately for everyone involved, a distressed Camilla, last seen with Besax, appeared with a knife and stabbed William. While no ordinary weapon could possibly kill a StrangeViral host, Besax's blade did the job remarkably quickly, leaving William a corpse, and Frostbyte and Tiskel equally enraged.
