Sweet William is, noticably, not simpatico with very many people.
- Besax. Besax is a devil. And William would almost consider liking him for the fact that he actually plays the part in an understandable way. However...he's also dead.
- Camilla. Camilla seems to understand a lot about the place Sweet William comes from, and William cares for her. She often makes him feel melancholy, because she is so sad.
- Cloud. Once saviour, now gone.
- Frostbyte. William adores Frostbyte by this point, truth be told, and trusts him completely. In fact, the adoration is getting very close to outright worship.
- Jeremy. Comprehensible, quiet, polite, while William is nervous of the Magistrate, he is a lot easier to deal with than the other inhabitants of the Mess.
- Kehari?. William is convinced that Kehari is an angel, a True Angel, who is providing him with guidance.
- Lysette. A devil, but William wishes she was not. He'd like to believe her, but he knows it would be dangerous to.
- System. System is fairly friendly towards William, and he recognises that, and appreciates it.
- Tiskel. A damn creepy perverse thing. William dislikes him, and fears Strange William, Tiskel's lover.

Strange William? He seems sympatico with...everyone. Except for a few people who are barely that. People.

- -engineskye? has nice clockwork bits and has a friendship bracelet! She's awfully sweet.
- -Kehari? is protective and caring. She was the first person William met outside his home, and he seems fond of her, and she has a friendship bracelet. William is very, very, very fond in return.
- -Lysette was told a truth by William, and has never been seen to break the bounds of courtesy, and also gave William icecream.
- -Morgan is a dear young thing.
- -Parity gendered himself upon request, which was awfully polite of him!
- -Roque seems lovely but won't take advice...but she remains as sweet as sugar.
- -Sebkha knows why things aren't changing.

- -Tiskel. Perfect. Arousing. Me. You. Together, we shake heaven.
- -Zee gave William a hat! It was a nice hat. But she wraps herself in plastic.

- -Beast? confuses William so severely that he becomes almost incoherent in his presence.
- -Besax will become alphabetacised soon.
- -Echo was killed by William's tail once, and he's been nervous of her since.
- -Frostbyte has a sense of timing to him...but he seems polite enough. Also, he is a friend, even if he refuses to die when stabbed.
- -GrayZero thinks she knows.
- -Grey needs to meet the boss.
- -Kurrel is interesting, but got too close to the tail. Still, he's near enough to Sebkha...
- -Slight also has a sense of timing to her, but behaves presumptuously and in an unfeminine manner. Throwing black holes at people is rude!
- -Trilogee has understanding, but is not the right cousin.
- -Ataxia melts things, in orderly ways that aren't nice. Ataxia also made it very hard for William to breathe! Maybe William can chastise her a little more over that untidy incident - jealous creature that she is. Enabler of Houm.

- -Lupe shouldn't listen to people who tell tales!
- -Mel exhausted himself by trying to drink the ocean dry, without caring for the fishes he murdered on the way.
